Congratulations to the 2022 graduates of the UF Pediatric Dental Residency Program – all 10 passed their qualifying exam for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
“It gives me great pleasure and great pride to extend my warmest congratulations to the graduating class of 2022 on achieving 100% success in their qualifying examination. On behalf of their entire PedoGator family, we are enormously proud of this important accomplishment and wish them all continued success,” said Abi Adewumi, B.D.S., FDSRCS, a clinical associate professor, residency program director and director of hospital dentistry in the UF Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
The qualifying exam is one examination of the two-part certification process for Diplomate status in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The examination is designed to generate evidence toward validation of the individual’s advanced training in pediatric dentistry. The QE must be successfully completed prior to registering for the Oral Clinical Examination.
Five completed their residencies in Naples at UFCD’s NCEF Pediatric Dental Center on the Florida SouthWestern State College campus serving children in Collier County and surrounding areas, and five residents completed their certificates at the college’s home base in Gainesville in the Dr. Robert E. Primosch Clinical Education Center in pediatric dentistry.
