Congratulations are in order for two dental practices founded by Gator Dentists, Regency Square Dental in Davie, Florida, and Wellspring Dental in New York City, for being honored by the University of Florida Alumni Association as two of this year’s Gator100 fastest-growing Gator-led businesses in the world.
In addition to recognizing the top Gator-owned and Gator-led business across the globe, the Gator100 Awards Ceremony serves as a setting where the University of Florida’s elite entrepreneurs can gather and share their talents and wisdom, while serving as an inspiration to fellow Gators.
Regency Square Dental, this year’s No. 73 fastest-growing Gator business, is making its second Gator100 appearance after being honored in 2020, while Wellspring Dental has notched three-straight years on the Gator100 honor roll in 2022 and 2023, while checking in at No. 79 on this year’s 2024 honor roll.
Reinol A. Gonzalez, D.M.D., and Martha E. De La Iglesia-Gonzalez, D.M.D., both members of the UF College of Dentistry DMD Class of 1987, founded Regency Square Dental in 1988 and have continued to build their enterprise ever since. With continuous learning and advanced technology at the forefront of their mission, Regency Square Dental boasts advanced dental equipment that can only be found in five percent of all dental practices in the country. Specialized expertise, paired with leading-edge dental technology for implants, orthodontics, crowns and bridges, helps enable Regency Square Dental to make a tremendous impact serving the Davie area and surrounding communities.
To make it even sweeter? Regency Square keeps growing with the addition of the Gonzalez’s son, Gator Dentist Reinol I. Gonzalez, D.M.D., better known as RJ, who graduated from UF in the DMD Class of 2020, as well as RJ’s bride Stephanie I. Gonzalez, D.M.D., who graduated from NYU’s College of Dentistry. Wellspring Dental was founded in 2016 when Gator Dentist Mitch Zientz, D.M.D., UF College of Dentistry Class of 2014, opened the first New York office in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Zientz’s fellow Gator Dentist colleague and friend from the DMD Class of 2015, Phillip Claassen, D.M.D., partnered with Wellspring Dental in 2018 to make the duo’s dream of offering personalized and comfortable care in New York City a reality.
Since then, the team has grown to include seven doctors across their four offices in Brooklyn, Midtown, East Harlem and Murray Hill, and this year they checked in at No. 79 on the fastest-growing Gator businesses Gator100 list.
Wellspring Dental is committed to providing boutique, high-quality dental care in a convenient and accessible setting, and offers a wide range of services using cutting-edge technologies from cosmetic and general dentistry to implants and Invisalign.
Behind the leadership of Zientz and Claassen, Wellspring Dental’s top priority has remained consistently the same – to work with patients to create attainable goals and expectations, to keep their smiles healthy, and make a visit to the dentist something to look forward to.
