Operative and Esthetic Dentistry

Certificate of Completion Program

The University of Florida, College of Dentistry offers a 12-month program in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry that leads to a certificate of completion.

This program is focused on the theory and practice of dental education and preparation for clinical patient care. Operative dentistry is the area of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. It also concentrates in Digital & Esthetic Dentistry and Dental Biomaterials.

Please note this program is a prerequisite to the Operative and Esthetic Dentistry master’s program.


Master’s Degree Program

The University of Florida, College of Dentistry offers a 24-month program in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry that leads to a certificate of completion and a Master of Science in Dental Sciences with a specialization in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry.

This program is designed to meet the growing need for future educators in operative dentistry. The program expands upon the student’s knowledge of cariology, prevention, esthetics, digital dentistry, materials science, research, and patient care. In addition, each resident will complete a master’s level research project.
