The Advanced Education Program in Endodontics offers a 24-month program that leads to a certificate and a Master of Science in Dental Sciences with a specialization in endodontics.
The program’s primary clinical portion takes place in the Department of Endodontics clinic. The department provides a variety of complex cases, including traumatic injuries and surgical experiences. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art microscopes and a cone-beam computed tomography system.
The residents cover clinics for predoctoral dental students. During this time, the residents are responsible for reviewing radiographs with the students and assisting them with treatment plans.
The didactic component focuses on the biological principles that are involved in the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the pulp and periradicular tissues. The research experience enables the students to mature intellectually and make rational decisions regarding the scope of endodontics based on scientific data.
