Occlusal Anatomy Session

Faculty and dental residents learned cutting edge use of dental materials during a special course on occlusal anatomy presented by Walter Dias, D.D.S., M.S., a clinical specialist with DENTSPLY who visited from Germany to share his expertise.

The course, held on Oct. 26, combined a morning lecture with an afternoon of hand-on laboratory work to tie the information together for the attendees. A working lunch allowed for discussion and a question and answer session about techniques and philosophies pertaining to dental materials and its value in the treatment of patients.

“It was very refreshing to have someone so talented discuss cutting edge use of dental materials with such enthusiasm and professionalism. It stimulated thought provoking-questions about composites and its applications,” said Jean-Francious Roulet, D.D.S., chair of the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences.

That evening, the group gathered for a BBQ at the end of an educational, enjoyable day.
