Rosa is the longest-serving member of the college’s IT Department, having joined the college in 1978 before the acronym “IT” meant Information Technology. Rosa was born close by in Orange Lake, Florida, to a large family; she had seven sisters and four brothers.
She spent her days using an IBM typewriter to type charges and cash receipts for the college. Later she worked on a “little Mac” to input information and the printouts were from IBM machines.
She’s worked for four IT Directors and with countless coworkers and says, “The group I work with now is the best bunch. Everyone gets along great, we have a lot of fun together and Steve is a great director.”
Rosa has two sons, Sharod and Ronald; one daughter, Thomasenia; one grandson, Shadyn; and one Labrador retriever, Fluffy. She’s a Tampa Bay Bucs fan.
What is your favorite way to spend your time?
Watching football on Sunday afternoon.

Right where I am now; I am a country girl at heart.
