Dr. Sarah Abu Arqub is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Jordan, a Master of Science in Orthodontics from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Dental Science with a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.A clinician-scientist with an international research profile, Dr. Abu Arqub’s scholarship spans clear aligner therapy, temporary anchorage devices, artificial intelligence and machine learning, teleorthodontics and remote patient monitoring, orthodontic tooth movement, and clinical trial methodology.She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters in leading journals. Dr. Abu Arqub is a recognized leader in digital orthodontics and AI research, having developed OrthoQA one of the first AI-driven educational chatbots for orthodontic training. Her current research investigates the integration of large language models and digital technologies into orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient monitoring. She serves as Associate Editor for Progress in Orthodontics and Digital and Aligner Orthodontics, Editor for Seminars in Orthodontics, and Secretary of the ADEA Section on Orthodontics. She is the recipient of the World Federation of Orthodontists Most Cited Research Article Award. Her academic mission centers on innovation, mentorship, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies into evidence-based orthodontic practice.
