About Dayane Oliveira

Dr. Dayane Oliveira received her DDS degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, followed by a MS degree in Operative Dentistry, and a PhD degree and a Post-Doctoral training in Dental Biomaterials from the State University of Campinas in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Currently, Dr. Oliveira is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences at the University of Florida.

Dr. Oliveira has devoted her teaching experience and her private practice to restorative and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Oliveira wrote her own book as well as thirteen international book chapters, including topics on color selection, color matching, light curing and diagnosis in Operative Dentistry.

Dr. Oliveira has a career entirely dedicated to translational and clinical research in which the main focus is to apply findings from basic science to enhance oral health. With a background in chemistry and medical device testing and development that contributed to several patents and dental products development. Her most recent and pioneer research involves the development of dental materials light cured using red light and their photobiomodulation effects in Operative Dentistry.
