Susan S Nimmo, D.D.S., M.P.H.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Nimmo achieved a Masters degree in Public Health and then her DDS from UCLA. After a General Practice Residency, she was a full-time associate in private practice for 15 years before joining the faculty at the UF College of Dentistry. For 18 years she has maintained a part-time clinical practice with the Faculty Associates focusing on oral health maintenance and the management of age-related dental problems.

Dr. Nimmo enjoys being in the University setting where she can be on the forefront of dental research and technology that she can apply to her patients in her dental practice. Second, she likes being able to share her 30+ years of clinical experience with students as they take their first steps into the growing field of dental sciences. Best of all are the patients: nuclear physicists, mathematicians, cardiothoracic surgeons, architects, neuroanatomists; they are all very nice and they are all very smart. It never gets boring.
