About Andre F Reis
Dr. Andre Reis earned his dental degree in 1999 from the Campinas State University in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He earned his Master’s degree in Operative Dentistry in 2003 and PhD in 2005 from the Campinas State University. Dr. Reis joined the University of Florida in 2018, as a Clinical Associate Professor in the division of Operative Dentistry of the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences. In 2024 he was promoted to the rank of Clinical Professor. He has devoted the last 20 years to the practice of Dentistry, teaching and research. His practice focuses on restoring and rehabilitating patients’ oral health, function and smile.
Dr. Reis has traveled extensively worldwide to teach his skills in smile design, smile reconstruction, and aesthetics. He has presented numerous lectures, ‘hands-on’ courses, and conferences across Europe, America, and Asia. His passion is constantly updating his dental knowledge and experience through continuing education and research.
Dr. Reis has received important research, teaching and clinical awards. He has published over 70 articles and book chapters on the study of Adhesive and Esthetic Dentistry materials and techniques.

Teaching Philosophy
Students understand how passionate and enthusiastic the teacher is about the topic and get stimulated and encouraged to learn with the pleasant learning environment that is created.
As a new topic is presented, clinical images and videos are introduced, that will link the concepts to clinical practice. Teaching a practical course, where students must learn, master, and perform precise tasks using fine hand skills in a short period of time is not an easy job. Dr Reis uses live demonstrations to help students understand and start using the concepts that have just been taught.
Not all students will progress at the same pace, but Dr Reis wants each and every one of them to succeed.
