About Bill Duncan

I am an ontology and informatics researcher. My research involves building or leveraging ontologies (also known as knowledge graphs) to integrate, harmonize, and reason over data. My work has contributed to research in ontology as well as the fields of dentistry, aging, mammalogy, cancer, molecular biology, microbiome research, and the development of ontology software tools and mapping standards. I also investigate how to use both ontologies and AI methods, such as machine learning and natural language processing, to better understand and draw conclusions from data.
