Eleonora Bakiri, DDS, FICD

Dr. Bakiri earned her D.D.S. degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Dental School in 2000 and a Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Texas, Houston Dental School in 2002. After her residency, Dr. Bakiri owned a private practice endodontic clinic in Athens, Greece until returning to the United States to join the University of Florida College of Dentistry faculty in April 2017.

She was appointed Program Director for the UF College of Dentistry Endodontics Predoctoral Program in August 2019, where she is responsible for oversight of the didactic, preclinical and clinical predoctoral curriculum for the UF Department of Endodontics. This includes developing and implementing the curriculum plan, ongoing evaluation of the program, and maintaining records related to the program. Bakiri also provides patient care in the UF Health Endodontics Faculty Practice.

She is a member of several professional societies, such as the International College of Dentists – Europe Section, the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association and the Athens Dental Society.

Dr. Bakiri served as an instructor of Advanced Clinical Endodontics for the Hellenic Society of Odontostomatological Research from 2004 to 2008. She is a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists.
