Supplemental Peer Instruction Program (SPIP)

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is strongly committed to the success and well-being of every student, therefore we are proud to offer the Supplemental Peer Instruction Program (SPIP) to students enrolled in the DMD program.

The Office of Student Advocacy & Inclusion will assign available SPIP tutors to students who are struggling academically. Tutoring sessions are free to all dental students and provided on an individual or small-group basis.

Who Can Access SPIP Services?

The Supplemental Peer Instruction Program is primarily utilized by first and second year DMD students, however, we can work with third and fourth years upon request.

How Do I Request a SPIP Tutor?

All questions about SPIP services should be directed to Alex Franklin in the Office of Student Advocacy & Inclusion. Tutor requests are made via the Qualtrics form emailed out at the beginning of each semester.

  • For pre-clinical psychomotor courses, students must be referred to SPIP by their course director.
