The AAWD was Formed in 1921

The American Association of Women Dentists was formed by a group of female dentists in 1921 so they could "share their common interests and enjoy friendships and camaraderie. Today, AAWD is the leading resource for advancing, connecting, and enriching the lives of women dentists."

Our goal is to continuing being the leading resource for advancing, connecting and enriching the lives of women dentists. We serve our members by offering a variety of programs and services that benefit the special needs of the busy woman dentist.

About Us

UF AAWD was established in 2005 and has served to connect women dental students and dental faculty through social, service, lunch and learn, and networking events. We have 93 active members and run over 30 events each calendar year!

What We Can Do For You

UF AAWD will provide events that cater to every woman dental student. We put on a variety of events ranging from yoga to group cooking or painting classes. We give back to the community through service events and allow for networking to occur between D1, D2, D3 and D4 students.
