Course Description
The UF College of Dentistry welcomes the Consortium of Operative Dentistry Educators Regional Meeting (CODE) for Southeast Region dental schools (Section VI). Faculty representatives from 17 dental schools within the region VI are invited to this educational meeting to discuss materials, techniques, teaching, and content of operative dentistry curricula.
The CODE meeting will be held from October 28-30, 2026. Hosted by the UF Department of Restorative Sciences, the event will feature a series of academic and social activities.

Course Objectives
The objectives of the Southeastern Region CODE meeting are to:
- Facilitate discussion among key faculty members from regional dental schools on critical and timely topics in operative and preventive dentistry, based on the latest evidence-based data.
- Address and discuss national and regional agenda items that have been predetermined prior to the meeting.
- Compare operative dentistry curricula, teaching methodologies, and assessment tools across various dental schools.
- Share brief presentations on new materials, clinical protocols, or teaching innovations.
