On April 8, 196 children attended the free preventative dental care event at the college and 184 received treatment.

UFCD will host its third annual Super Sealant Saturday on April 8. The student-run event provides FREE preventative dental care and education for children aged 6-17.

Dean Isabel Garcia made congressional visits in Washington, D.C., on February 28, along with three current dental students, as part of the American Association for Dental Research Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. The goal was to help spread the word about the importance of dental, oral and craniofacial research.

On February 18, four dental students, and faculty supervisor Leda Mugayar, D.D.S., joined the Mother and Infant OHI (World’s Greatest Baby Shower Bash Expo) held at Lincoln Middle School.
