Cohen served as the residency director of the Oral Pathology Program, division director of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, and acting chair and chair of Oral Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences.

Ten College of Dentistry faculty earned promotions and/or tenure that that became effective on July 1, 2022.

He educated 3,200 general dentists and countless prosthodontic specialists on the use of implants in dental care during his career.
