Biography

Venita J. Sposetti, D.M.D., is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean for Education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She is a graduate of Florida State University; she received a D.M.D. degree from the University of Florida, and a certificate in General Practice Residency from the University of Florida.

She joined the faculty of the University of Florida in 1980. Her clinical activities have been concentrated in the area of prosthodontics where she has taught didactic and clinical courses to students in all four years of the curriculum. Her research has focused on removable prosthodontics and tobacco and substance abuse issues. She was recently awarded a 2 year Interdisciplinary Substance Abuse fellowship. She served as the Assistant Dean for Admission & Financial Aid from 2001–2011 and has been the Associate Dean for Education since April 2011.
