Committee Composition

The committee consists of four student members, one from each class, a president of a student organization elected from among the presidents of all college student organizations, the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, five full-time faculty members elected by the Faculty Assembly. The committee elects the Chair from the five faculty members elected by the Faculty Assembly. For more information, please refer to the college’s Constitution and Bylaws.

Standing Committee Charge

As stated in the Constitution and Bylaws, this committee serves as a general forum to promote scholarship, motivation, professionalism and extracurricular activities among the students and between the students and the faculty.

Individual Faculty Member Responsibilities

The Student Affairs Committee meets approximately 6 times per year for 1 to 1½ hours. Additionally, some project work is done outside of meetings.

Time commitment: Minimum of 1½ hours per quarter for meetings plus additional time for project-based work.
