Student Affairs Committee

Committee Composition

The committee consists of four student members, one from each class, the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Involvement, five full-time faculty members elected by the Faculty Assembly. The committee elects the Chair and Vice Chair from the five faculty members elected by the Faculty Assembly.

Standing Committee Charge

This committee serves as a general forum to promote scholarship, motivation, professionalism, and extracurricular activities among the students and between the students and the faculty.

Individual Faculty Member Responsibilities

The Student Affairs Committee meets approximately 4 times per year for 1 to 1½ hours. Additionally, some project work is done outside of meetings.

Time commitment: Minimum of 1½ hours per quarter for meetings plus additional time for project-based work.

Schedule of Meetings

The Student Affairs Committee meets from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
