This year, the University of Florida chapter of the American Student Dental Association, or ASDA, sent nine Gator Dentists to an annual leadership conference in Chicago in November. In addition to six UF ASDA board members who attended, three DMD students were selected for scholarships to attend. Congratulations to Isabella Menendez, Sophia Roth and Krishna Vekariya for winning scholarships!

The three-day ASDA National Leadership Conference, or NLC, unites dental students and professionals for leadership development, skill-building workshops and networking opportunities. This conference is dedicated to empowering future dental leaders with the tools, insight, and experiences needed to excel professionally and personally in the oral health field.

The UF attendees took notes during sessions and created a report that recapped their experience and their takeaways from the event – you can read the full report here.
