The University of Florida announced that 10 College of Dentistry faculty earned promotions and/or tenure that that became effective on July 1, 2022.
“I am very pleased by the wonderful news that 10 of our dental faculty members were approved for tenure and/or promotion. This is a major accomplishment for each of these faculty members as well as an accomplishment for our college as it’s the highest number we have ever had approved at one time, said A. Isabel Garcia, D.D.S., M.P.H., dean of the college.
Garcia also thanked the members of the college’s Promotion and Tenure Committee for their work supporting dental faculty through this process, and also recognized Joseph Riley, Ph.D., in Faculty Affairs and Christina Perez in Human Resources for their leadership during this promotion and tenure cycle saying, “The promotion and tenure process is very demanding and competitive, which makes it even more significant that so many of our faculty were recognized for their contributions to teaching, research and service.”
