Welcoming New Faculty: Rutvi Vyas

 

Dr. Rutvia Vyas
Rutvi Vyas, B.D.S., M.D.S., joined the Division of Radiology in Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences on August 10 as a clinical assistant professor, moving to Gainesville from Farmington, Connecticut, where she recently completed a residency program in oral and maxillofacial radiology.

Rutvi Vyas, B.D.S., M.D.S., joined the Division of Radiology in Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences on August 10 as a clinical assistant professor, moving to Gainesville from Farmington, Connecticut, where she recently completed a residency program in oral and maxillofacial radiology, or OMFR.

In 2012, Vyas earned her dental degree from the Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Center/Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She worked in private practice for several years before moving to Newark, New Jersey, where she completed a master’s of dental science at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine before starting her residency in OMFR.

While her primary focus is teaching, Vyas is also working the in OMFR Faculty Practice and pursuing research interests.
