Welcoming New Faculty: Hamad Alharbi

Hamad Alharbi
Alharbi earned his dental degree in 2011 from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. It’s the only school accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation that is located outside the United States.

On July 27, Hamad Alharbi, D.D.S., M.S., joined the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department as a clinical assistant professor and director of the DMD program after spending four years in Miami as a resident with the Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami.

Alharbi earned his dental degree in 2011 from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. It’s the only school accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation that is located outside the United States.

He then attended the Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he earned a master’s degree with a project focused on the temporomandibular joint in 2015.

Alharbi provides patient care in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident dental center, the Student Oral Surgery center, and Faculty Practice.

Alharbi has extensive experience in the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He focuses on staying up to date with the latest clinical and technological advances and is committed to maintaining a current professional practice in all aspects of the specialty.
