Welcoming New Faculty: Clinio Cerrud

Clinio Cerrud
Clinio Cerrud, D.D.S., M.S.D., joined the college as a clinical assistant professor in endodontics in July.

Clinio Cerrud, D.D.S., M.S.D., joined the UF Department of Endodontics as a clinical assistant professor on July 1, having previously served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor with the college’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the UF Health Hialeah Dental Center since 2019.

Cerrud earned his dental degree from the University of Panama in the Republic of Panama in 1980 and, after working in private practice in Panama for nine years, completed the UF College of Dentistry program for Foreign Trained Dentists in 1997.

He worked in Miami, Florida, from 1997 to 2009, and then attended the University of Texas in Houston where he earned a certificate in endodontics in 2013. He returned to Miami and has been practicing as an endodontist and serving as an adjunct faculty member for several academic institutions in addition to his work with our college.

Cerrud says he sees his new position as a perfect opportunity to combine his love of teaching and endodontics and looks forward to participating in research projects as well.

Cerrud will be working with predoctoral students and endodontics residents, providing preclinical and clinical education. He will also be assisting as a mentor for the department, as well as providing care for patients in the UF Health Endodontics Faculty Practice.
