Congratulations to John Calise, a post-doc fellow in oral biology, for helping coordinate a very successful Third Annual Florida Translational Cell Biology Symposium at UF on September 13, 2019. Calise was one of a committee of five PhD students from UF, the Florida State University and the University of Central Florida who worked together to organize the symposium, that had the goal of bridging the gap between basic cell biology and translational research in Florida.
For more information about the meeting content, read this article on the American Society for Cell Biology, or ASCB website, written by Marisa Tillery, a PhD student in the Biomedical Sciences Department at Florida State University. The ASCB funded the symposium.
