On July 22, Karin Schey, D.M.D., M.S., returned to the University of Florida College of Dentistry as clinical associate professor in periodontology, having earned her dental degree at UF in 2016.
In addition to providing patient care in the college’s faculty practice, Schey teaches periodontology residents and predoctoral students with an emphasis on periodontal education. She is also pursuing her research interests.
Schey earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, in 2009, and a master’s in biology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton before attending UF for dental school. Following graduation from UFCD, she attended the University of North Carolina to pursue an advanced education in periodontology, completing the program in 2019.
