Dayane Oliveira, D.D.S., M.Sc., Ph.D., became a clinical assistant professor in the operative division of restorative dental sciences in August. Olivera is providing didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction to predoctoral students and residents in the Operative Master’s Program. In addition, she is pursuing her research interests as well as providing dental care in the college’s faculty dental practice.
Oliveira graduated with her dental degree in 2010 from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, or UNICAMP, in Brazil. She then earned her master’s in operative dentistry and doctorate in dental materials from the Piracicaba Dental School in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2013 and 2016, respectively. Part of her doctoral studies, in biomaterials, was with the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland from 2014-15.
Oliveira was an associate professor and post-doctoral fellow at UNICAMP from 2016-18, and a visiting professor and post-doctoral research at UFCD from 2018 until joining the college as a clinical assistant professor in August.
