Donatelli Appointed Assistant Program Director for Orthodontics

Richard Donatelli, D.M.D., has been appointed as the assistant program director for the University of Florida Orthodontics Residency Program effective July 2, 2018.

His duties include assisting the program director with all aspects of orthodontics advanced education including compliance with Commission on Dental Accreditation standards, developing and implementing curriculum, evaluating resident performance and clinical outcomes.

Donatelli earned bachelor’s degrees in political science and biological science from Florida Atlantic University then attended the UF College of Dentistry where he earned his dental degree in 2000 and his master’s of science in orthodontics in 2008.

He has experience working in private practice in general dentistry and orthodontics. Donatelli joined the college as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics in 2011. Donatelli teaches predoctoral and graduate courses in the clinic and classroom settings for orthodontics and pediatric dental residents.

He is a member of the Angle Society of Orthodontists and the American Dental Education Association.
