Congratulations to Blake Crosby, DMD Class of 2021, for winning first place during the 2018 Annual UFCD Spring Synergy for his oral presentation on his research project, “The role of LPS and treatment on DNA methylation status of inflammatory genes in localized aggressive periodontitis.” DENTSPLY/SCADA sponsors a special award for the first place winner every year.
On May 1, Leslie DuPlooy, southeast United States and Europe region manager for DENTSPLY, hosted a special lunch to present Crosby his award in person. As part of the award, Crosby will travel to Vancouver, British Columbia, for the 2019 American Association for Dental Research Annual Meeting in June 2019. He will present his research and enjoy the lovely June weather on Canada’s west coast – a win-win!
