Two of the 17 recipients of the 2017 American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award are UF College of Dentistry pediatric dentistry residency program graduates. Dr. Casey Lynn completed his residency at the NCEF Pediatric Dental Center in Naples; Dr. Aaron Scheps completed his in Gainesville.
This marks the third consecutive year that a resident from each of the UF pediatric dental residency programs earned a Pugh Award.The Pugh Award honors the top three percent of the scores in the annual Qualifying Examination of the ABPD across the United States.
“This is an outstanding achievement for our pediatric dental residency program and highlights both the quality of our educational program and the extremely high dedication of our residents. We could not be more proud,” said Marcio Guelmann, D.D.S, a professor and chair of the UF Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
The Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award is the namesake honor for Dr. Pugh, who was the ABPD’s Educational Measurement Consultant for 28 years before retiring in 1998.
2017 Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award Recipients
