Dean Isabel Garcia made congressional visits in Washington, D.C., on February 28, along with three current dental students, as part of the American Association for Dental Research Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. The goal was to help spread the word about the importance of dental, oral and craniofacial research. Participants from across the country convened in Washington, D.C. to inform Congress about the value and importance of oral health programs and research.
