Special congratulations to four College of Dentistry staff members, Abel Gilbert (Admissions), Anthony Licari (Education Administration), Deborah McEdward (Restorative Dental Sciences Research) and Christina Perez (Dean’s Office Human Resources), who were awarded 2016-17 University of Florida Superior Accomplishment Awards during the March 2 awards banquet at the Wyndham Garden Gainesville.

Each year, the University of Florida Superior Accomplishment Awards program recognizes faculty and staff who have shown efficiency or economy in their work, have contributed outstanding and meritorious service, or who have improved the quality of live provided to students and employees. Winners are nominated by supervisors, peers or customers who submit glowing letters of recommendation on their behalf.

Our four UFCD honorees were among the Division 5 winners, which encompasses UF Health’s six colleges. Each received awards of $200, a framed certificate, a commemorative coffee mug, and are now among the candidate pool for the university-level awards, which will be announced in April and offer eight $1,000 and six $2,000 cash prizes.
