Magher receives award scholarship for ITL program

magher kelly smallCongratulations to Kelly Magher, D.M.D., a clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Pediatric Dentistry, who received an award scholarship to attend the Institute for Teaching and Learning (ITL), a program organized by Academy for Academic Leadership.

Magher was selected by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Dr. Jerome B. Miller Fund of Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children: the Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as a recipient of their Master Clinician Scholarship for 2015 – 2016.  The scholarship provides all tuition for the ITL, the premier training program for full-time and part-time health professional educators. The overall program goal is to help participants, designated as ITL Scholars, refine teaching skills that will enhance the quality of their interactions with students and develop other skills that will facilitate confidence, job satisfaction and professional growth in the academic environment. The program will be held in two phases during August and October 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.
