Barak Wray, D.M.D.He’s in the Navy now: Barak Wray, D.M.D., who earned his degree in 2009, is currently serving the U.S. Armed Forces as a Navy officer.

Wray joined the Navy after graduating from dental school and is a lieutenant stationed with Seabee Battalion 133, based in Gulfport, Mississippi.  The battalion recently returned from a nine-month deployment to Okinawa, Japan. During that deployment, he participated in a humanitarian mission to Malaysia where he and others provided dental treatment to local people who don’t have access to dental care. During the mission trip, Wray also gave a presentation to U.S. military leaders in the area about dental service support during Seabee deployments.

After his two-year tour with Seabee Battalion 133 ends in July 2012, Wray will begin a Periodontics Residency program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

We are proud of everything he is doing to serve our U.S. military men and women.
