Adewumi new member of College of Diplomates, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Abi Adewumi, a faculty member in Pediatric Dentistry, recently passed the Oral Boards and became a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

“Recognition as a Diplomate of the America Board of Pediatric Dentistry is one of the highest forms of professional recognition and accomplishment in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. I am very proud to have Dr. Adewumi on our faculty,” Dean Teresa Dolan said.

Established in 1964, the mission of the College of Diplomates of the ABPD is to encourage and promote the pursuit of excellence in pediatric dentistry. The association works for the advancement of the science and practice of Pediatric Dentistry through mutual cooperation and study, support of the objectives of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the encouragement of candidates for the Board Examination.

Dr. Adewumi joined the college in 2004 as a Fellow and became a faculty member in 2005. Born in London, Dr. Adewumi has been educated in England, Nigeria and in the United States.
