The leadership institute is a year-long program that develops the nation’s most promising dental educators to become leaders in dental and higher education.

Tomar will develop, prioritize and carry out analyses to support institutional planning, evaluation and effectiveness.

Wang will be responsible for overseeing maxillofacial prosthetic services including maxillofacial prosthetics, anaplastology and related services.

Cassiano joined UFCD's Department of Restorative Dental Sciences in 2017.

The division director is responsible for leadership in the areas of teaching, research, service and faculty development for faculty in the division.

His new administrative duties include leadership for division faculty and staff, overseeing the curriculum, facilitating professional development, and working closely with departmental leadership to ensure successful inter-departmental and interdisciplinary collaborations

The new position includes oversight of overall operations of a new predoctoral screening clinic where people interested in becoming patients in the DMD clinics are assessed and assigned to students.

The two colleges will collaborate to improve health care for vulnerable populations while providing valuable learning opportunities for students.

Widmer and his fellow committee colleagues will contribute to the development of guidelines for prescribing opioids for acute pain.
