Applying for Aid

Important Notice for UFCD Financial Aid

In order to be considered for UFCD financial aid in the form of need-based scholarships or loans, you must fill out the UFCD Application for Financial Aid. This form is NOT required for federal Stafford and Grad PLUS loans. If you are determined to be eligible for a UFCD need-based scholarship or loan, the amount awarded will be up to the “Cost of Attendance”. In other words, the sum of all financial aid, whether in the form of UFCD loans, scholarships or federal loans will never be more than the amount designated as the “Cost of Attendance”. Please see Financial Aid FAQs for more information.

When filling out the UFCD Application for Financial Aid, please follow the instructions carefully and answer every question. If the question is not applicable, please designate so by placing a N/A for the answer. Please do not forget to initial and sign the form where required.  Only fully completed forms will be processed. Please refer questions about filling out the form to Mr. Tom Kolb at (352)273-5999 or tomkolb@ufl.edu.

The deadline for completion of the UFCD Application for Financial Aid is April 15, 2013, however you are strongly encouraged to complete the form as soon as possible. Gathering the documentation to complete the form (including the FAFSA with parental information and your parent’s income tax return) will take some time, so please do not wait until the last minute. You will receive a projected date of award notice around June 15, 2013.

Students seeking financial aid in the form of loans and scholarships at the University of Florida College of Dentistry are required to fill out two applications:

  1. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. The UFCD Financial Aid Application (pdf)
