Endodontics

Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Continuing Education

Dr. Haddix is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received his D.M.D. degree in 1977. After six years of private practice in North Carolina he joined the University of Florida Department of Endodontics faculty in 1984, and is currently the Director of Pre-doctoral Endodontics. He also is the Director of the Comprehensive Dentistry Continuing Education program for those seeking Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Academy of General Dentistry, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He is also a past National President for Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. He has lectured both nationally and internationally and is currently involved in research involving gutta-percha obturation techniques, nickel-titanium instrumentation, and restoring endodontically treated teeth. In 1996, he was recognized as the University of Florida College of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year. In 2002, he was the recepient of the College of Dentistry’s Outstanding Faculty Award presented by the American College of Dentists. In 2003, he was selected as the Clinical Teacher of the Year by the senior class and was selected by the Florida Dental Association as the Dental Educator of the Year.
