Q. How do I obtain my UFID/Gator One card?
A. A BMS Gator One and UF Badge Authorization Form must be completed and faxed to BMS. BMS will contact you to set an appointment for the photo shoot. Please bring a photo ID (e.g. Drivers License) to your appointment. For more information and for a link to the authorization form, please visit: http://www.bms.ufl.edu/Pages/bms_gator_1.html.
Q. How do I obtain a parking decal?
A. Please take your UFID card to purchase a parking decal at the Transportation and Parking Customer Service Office in Building 112, located on the corner of Mowry Road and Gale Lemerand Drive (formerly North South Drive). View a map.
Q. Where can I park?

Q. Who do I contact for a key to my office/the building?
A. Please speak with the administrator in your department or contact Mary Bennett in the Dean’s Office at 273-5801.
Q. How do I obtain a GroupWise email account and ‘log in’ for my computer?
A. The administrator in your department will send an email to Information Systems (via help@dental.ufl.edu) with your UFID number, department name, phone number, room number and other location information. IS will set up your email account and log in username and original password.
Q. How do I set up my GatorLink account?
A. Please visit http://www.gatorlink.ufl.edu and click on ‘Create a new account’. You will need to enter your UFID number in order to set up a GatorLink account.
Q. How do I obtain the appropriate security roles in PeopleSoft?
A. Your roles are specific to your position and job duties. Please contact your DSA-Department Security Administrator for role assignments and requests.
Q. Am I required to complete the HIPAA and Privacy training?
A. Yes. All faculty, staff, students, and volunteers at the Health Science Center must complete HIPAA & Privacy General Awareness training within 5 days of hire and all HSC employees are required (per the UF Privacy Office) to complete their annual renewal during the months of January-February. Please visit the following link to complete the online module: http://privacy.health.ufl.edu/. Once completed, print out the Confidentiality Statement and deliver to your department administrator.
Q. I have completed the 'Research & Information Privacy for 2008' training; am I still required to complete the 'HIPAA & Privacy General Awareness for 2008' training?
A. The 'Research & Information Privacy for 2008' training consolidates HIPAA for Researchers and General Awareness, so this training will satisfy the requirement for both trainings.
Q. Who should take the Bloodborne Pathogen and OSHA training and how often does this need to be done?
A. All college personnel who are involved in any clinical activity must have had both the Bloodborne Pathogen and OSHA training. This is a requirement of employment and then updated yearly, by March, thereafter. You can go to the following website. Once there you will need a Gatorlink username and password to proceed. The training is located under the Infection Control Program where you will find a powerpoint presentation followed by a quiz. The quiz also uses your Gatorlink username and password to challenge. At the end of the quiz, once submitted, you will know you score. You can print out a certificate of completion for your records, but once submitted it is captured by the program.

Q. How do I sign up for the University’s New Employee Orientation for staff?

Q. Where can I find information regarding my benefits?
A. Faculty, TEAMS, and USPS employees may find information regarding benefits at the following link: http://www.hr.ufl.edu/benefits/default.htm. All employees must enroll in benefits within 60 days of hire. Eligible faculty members should inquire about the College of Dentistry fringe benefits by contacting Melissa Long at: mlong@dental.ufl.edu.
Q. As a UF employee, what other benefits am I eligible for, to include Fitness & Recreation, discounts to Florida attractions, Employee Education Program benefits, etc?
A. Please visit: http://hr.ufl.edu/benefits/other_benefits.htm. Or, stop by the College's Human Resources office in the Dean's Suite to inquire.
Q. How often do I get paid?
A. Faculty and staff are paid biweekly. The payroll schedule may be found at: http://www.fa.ufl.edu/payroll/paydays-2007-2008.asp.
Q. Is Direct Deposit of my paycheck required?
A. Yes, direct deposit is required for all University faculty and staff. Please print, complete, and fax the following form to Payroll Services: http://fa.ufl.edu/forms/pdf/fa-ps-dda.pdf. Your first paycheck will be a paper check until you are officially entered into the payroll system. Your check will be available for pick-up after 10:00 a.m. on payday in the Dean’s Office (D4-15). Please bring a photo ID.
Q. How do I view my paycheck?
A. You can view your paycheck at https://my.ufl.edu/, under My Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > View Paycheck. An instruction guide to assist in reading your paycheck can be found at: http://www.hr.ufl.edu/class_comp/compensation/PayrollGraphic2007.pdf.
