Risk Management
In this age of expanding theories of tort liability, dentists
may be responsible for more than their own acts.
Dentists have responsibility for the actions of their office
staff and those whom they directly employ. Most dentists
don’t realize that they may also be held responsible
for any acts of their partners, office staff or others who
may perform procedures under their control or supervision.
This course will help you understand the issues
involved and what procedures to implement to judiciously
practice dentistry.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At completion of course participants will be updated on:
- Liability
- Insurance
- Record keeping
- Informed consent

for maintaining proper dental records, dental records

record forms and informed consents will be provided.

Planning are of concern to today’s dentist. With the
practical information presented, you will learn to produce
treatment plans that your patients will understand
and accept. Information gathering to assigning risk will
be covered. Phased Treatment Planning will be modeled
and several cases will be presented and also
studied in small groups. Because patients today have
more complex treatment needs, this course is essential
to make your dental practice more efficient and give
you a blueprint for effective treatment planning.
