Periodontology & Implant Update for the Dental Hygienist
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A refresher course on the current concepts in the
pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of periodontal
diseases. The long term maintenance of the
natural teeth and implants will be discussed.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This hands-on workshop will directly impact your patients by updating you on:
- Periodontal Diseases - Types of diseases and their diagnoses
- Current concepts on the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases
- Initial Therapy of the Periodontally involved teeth
- Plaque-retaining factors and their management
- Periodontitis and PeriImplantitis - Similarities and differences
- The Dental Hygienist's role in diagnosing recurring disease
- Long-term Maintenance of Teeth and Implants.
