Periodontal and Implant Treatment the Tampa Bay Way
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The art and science of dentistry has evolved rapidly over the
last decade. New treatment options that were not readily
available in the past can be offered to our patients today.
Successful periodontal and implant treatment is no longer
solely depending on infection control and osseointegration;
achieving excellent esthetic outcomes is a critical
component of treatment, and all members of the treatment
team are important to provide the patient with a
good treatment result. Periodontal and dental implant
treatment present unique challenges for the clinician.
Yet, achievement can be most rewarding.
In the course we will discuss diagnosis and treatment planning
and predictable treatment modalities for patients with
complex treatment needs. A variety of treatment options will
be introduced and the treatment sequence will be reviewed
to provide a successful outcome.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At completion, participant will be updated on:
- Knowledge of the periodontal and peri-implant biology
- Careful treatment planning
- Attention to details in execution of different treatment techniques
- Maintenance care
This course is recommended for
- General dentists who would like to obtain comprehensive
knowledge regarding predictable periodontal and dental
implant treatment
- Dental Hygienists who would like to be more efficient
in their functions by enhancing their fundamental and
practical knowledge. Participants will be encouraged to
present patients from their own practices for discussion
and planning.
