The UF American Student Dental Association (A.S.D.A.) set up an oral health table at the annual UF Great Gator Health Fest, the largest student-run health fair, coordinated by the UF College of Pharmacy.
The ASDA students brought the Mighty Molar along for the fun and he really enjoyed a day out in the sunshine celebrating oral health with a Gator spirit.
Held each year at the UF Reitz Union before a home football game, this year’s event was on Nov. 23, 2013, and provided free health care to more than 500 students, alumni, visitors, children and friends. The services included free cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, and osteoporosis screenings, as well as interactive and educational activities. This year’s event also included health resources for smoking cessation, and exercise and fitness.
