Clark wins MedEdPORTAL award

When Nereyda (Nery) Clark, D.M.D., was invited to serve as a faculty mentor for the MedEdPORTAL Faculty Mentor Pilot Program in February 2013, she had a goal – to win a Top Faculty Mentor Award.

Not surprisingly to those who know her, she met her goal. In July 2013 she received notice that she is one of four of the 20 program mentors selected as Top Faculty Mentors.

“I couldn’t have done it without the great support from our faculty.  They participated in the informational and training sessions.  Best of all, I continue to have requests from faculty and I plan to continue to help those wanting to publish their works,” Clark said.

“Nery’s MedEdPORTAL contributions have gone beyond the outlined goals of the Faculty Mentor program. She suggested ways to increase both MedEdPORTAL end user involvement as well as author submissions,” said Emily Cahill, M.P.H., director and managing editor for MedEdPORTAL.

Congratulations to Nery Clark and thank you for being such a wonderful representative for the college and the university at the national level.
