Pileggi named SADS director, associate dean

Roberta Pileggi, D.D.S., M.S., has been named associate dean and director of the University of Florida School of Advanced Dental Sciences (SADS) and will continue in her role as the chair and graduate program director of the department of endodontics , a position she’s held since January 2010. She has served as interim director for SADS since September 2012.

“Roberta has been on faculty with UF since 2005 and, since that time, has consistently shown herself to be a team player, a balanced leader and is willing to accept additional responsibilities. She has done an excellent job leading the department of endodontics since 2010 and directing the SADS program since September 2012,” said Boyd Robinson, D.D.S., M.Ed, interim dean of the UF College of Dentistry.

Pileggi earned her dental degree from the University Paulista in Brazil. She completed both her master’s degree and earned a certificate in endodontics at the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery.  In 2005, she completed a fellowship in education at Baylor College of Medicine and University of Texas at Houston. She has received numerous faculty awards including the Edward Osetek Award given by the American Association of Endodontists and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
