2011 Outstanding Alumnus: Lee Anne Keough

Congratulations to Lee Anne Keough, D.M.D., M.S., who received the 2011 Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Florida College of Dentistry’s Academy of Alumni and Friends (AAF) on November 4, during the 2011 Dental Fall Weekend. The award is given in in recognition of her community service, contributions to the dental profession and support of the college.

Keough earned her dental degree from the UF College of Dentistry in 1993, completed a post-graduate General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Gainesville in 1997, and received a master’s in Endodontics from the UF College of Dentistry.

Keough spends a great deal of time and effort in support of the college, volunteering as part of the selection committee for Endodontics residents, and is also active in the AAF. She also supports her community by volunteering on the Baptist Mobile Dental Van, for the Marion County Health Department Dental Clinic, for Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research, with the United Way Women of Worth program, and for Anthem Church.

She also plays an active role in supporting organized dentistry having served as the president of the Florida Association of Endodontists and as a delegate to the Florida Dental Association House of Delegates. She is a past president of the Central Florida District Dental Association and is also active in the American Association of Endodontists, the Southern Endodontics Study Group and the Marion County Dental Society. She is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a member of the Pierre Fouchard Academy. She also served as the inaugural president of International Academy of Endodontists

She practices in a private endodontic and implant-based practice in Ocala, Fla.
