Class of 1993 Alumni Spotlight: Robert L. Perdomo III

On Friday, September 2, 2011, Robert Perdomo, D.M.D., a member of the college’s class of 1993, and his family traveled to Gainesville from Coral Gables, Fla., to attend the 2011 Florida football season opener against the Florida Atlantic University Owls.

“We had a wonderful time at the game and creating some new Gator memories for our family,” Perdomo said.

After graduating from dental school, Perdomo took over his father’s practice that was founded in Coral Gables in 1968.  His special interests in the field of dentistry are in cosmetics, restorative, reconstructive, and implants, as well as occlusion and T.M.J.

Perdomo has a Mastership in the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics and currently serves as vice-chair of the Florida Board of Dentistry and chair of the Credentials Committee of the Florida Board of Dentistry. He is also a past president of Community Smiles, Dade Countys dental research clinic at Lindsey Hopkins, and a past chairman of the Comprehensive Prosthetic and Surgical section.

Perdomo recently hired a fellow Gator Dentist, David A. Faget, D.M.D., who graduated with the 2003 alumni an associate in his Coral Gables practice.
