Rosen wins ACP Award

Evan Rosen, Class of 2010Congratulations to Evan Rosen, Class of 2010, who won Third Place in the student table clinic competition at the 2009 American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) Annual Meeting in San Diego, Ca., in November.

Rosen presented his research project “Current Trends in Specialty Training of Dental Students in Prosthodontics at University of Florida College of Dentistry” and competed with other dental students at the meeting.  The award included a $200 cash prize. Arthur Nimmo, D.D.S., F.A.C.P., professor and director of Predoctoral Implant Dentistry, served as Evan’s mentor for this project.

The table clinic competition featured 66 presentations with more than 20 ACP members from the military, dental education and private practice serving as judges.

The American College of Prosthodontists is the professional association of dentists with advanced specialty training who are the experts in creating optimal oral health, both in function and appearance including dental implants, dentures, veneers, crowns and teeth whitening.
