Stillwell receives AGD Award K. David Stillwell, D.D.S., M.A.G.D., received the Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award (LLSR) along with seven others during the Academy of General Dentistry’s 56th Annual Meeting Convocation in Orlando in July.

Fewer than 60 of the 35,000 international AGD members have received this award, which is presented to nominees who demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuing dental education, volunteer services to communities in need, mentorship to associates and new dentists and participation in organized dentistry.

The LLSR is an additional recognition of AGD Masters who must have also completed more than 1,600 hours of continuing dental education in all disciplines of dentistry, including 550 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques and more than 100 hours of community service.

“Dr. Stillwell has demonstrated a commitment to remain current in his profession and to give back to the community and the profession,” says AGD President, Vincent Mayher, DMD, MAGD. “He creates an example that reminds each member of the dental profession to never lose sight of this obligation.”  By embracing the core beliefs of the AGD throughout his career, Dr. Stillwell sets a higher standard that all general dentists are encouraged to emulate.
