A Busy Week at the COD-ASDA Week and Annual Research Day

If it looks and feels like a lot is happening this week in the college, it’s because a lot is happening this week with ASDA Week and Annual Research Day.

ASDA Week March 24-28, 2008

The American Student Dental Association kicks off ASDA Week Tuesday evening with a Manufacturers Exhibit from 6 to 9pm at the Best Western Gateway Grand. Attendance is free and the event includes food, refreshments and great door prizes (including sample toothbrushes from vendors).

On Friday, March 28 from 8:30am to 1pm in Communicore C1-15, everyone’s invited to the ASDA CE Lecture by Dr. Lawrence Grayhill who is lecturing on hard and soft tissue layer techniques. The lecture will include on-site demonstrations.

Friday evening the ASDA Banquet starts at 7pm at the Best Western Gateway Grand and includes dinner, awards and dancing. (Tickets may be sold out for this event.)

And what better way to end the week’s events than with the ASDA Golf Tournament? Tee time is 9am on Saturday morning at the UF Golf Course and spots are still available.

ASDA is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in dentistry. It introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy.
